Stranraer Services have an established reputation as vehicle recovery specialists. We are a Police Approved recovery service and have a secure compound at which vehicles can be kept. With a wide range of vehicles capable of recovering anything from a small car to extra-large HGV's you can be sure we can recover your vehicle.
Over the years we have recovered overturned HGVs, tankers, large vans, caravans, cars, campers, LGVs, motorcycles, break-downs and total wrecks. We have tow-trucks capable of towing even the largest HGV, as well as transport suitable for smaller vehicle recovery. Whatever the situatoin, we can cope.For overturned vehicles we can utilise air cushion lifting to ensure the vehicle is righted with a minimum of damage. Our staff have many years experience dealing with all manner of recovery situations and in all weathers. We offer special rates for local recovery and are agents for most leading clubs.

Here at Stranraer Services we appreciate that collecting personal effects from a recovered vehicle can be distressing, especially if the vehicle is a write-off after a bad crash. We assure you that our staff will offer every assistance to you in such an event and, with your consent, will collect all personal items from the vehicle and hold them securely until you arrive.
We are recovery agents for the main automobile clubs and can provide relay services as well as recovery. Your vehicle can be brought to our repair facility in Stranraer for repairs. If you cannot continue your journey for whatever reason, we can advise on local accommodation to suit all pockets.
